A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Multan
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $300 for materials.
🇵🇰 Pakistan1,512 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 485 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $15
• Tools hire and delivery: $15
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
