The the Second Helping pantry in Hồ Chí Minh City is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Hồ Chí Minh City
Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 297 each week. Donations have dropped by about 43% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Hồ Chí Minh City market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $250 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $30 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $140 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $80 With deep gratitude, Trinh
