A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Kumasi

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 249 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly.
