For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,300. It will serve about 127 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,300 goes: • Materials: $2,500 • Permits and inspections: $330 • Safety equipment and signage: $270 • Tools hire and delivery: $200 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Bennett

  1. Small update. $255 so far, I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 7% now ($225). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.
