Zahra Rasha Tawfik
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Beacon Swimming Club
- Since 2015
- English
For eleven years I've run the rowing program at Beacon Swimming Club in Cairo. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
More about Zahra
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Zahra: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
