Wekesa Kevin Musyoka
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Lotus Shop
- 1983 to 1998
- English
I've worked in welding from 1983 to 1998. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 810 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Wekesa
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Wekesa: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
