Volunteers wanted: Ruslan's yard after the storm
Ruslan, 88, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 88 and I have lived in this house in Kyiv for 28 years. After the storm in December, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck, Ruslan. Shared it with a few friends. I hope March is when things finally get easier.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Kyiv.
Best of luck. Wishing Ruslan a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Put this on a community board in San Antonio this morning. Blessings.
