Keep a roof over Phượng's head in Hanoi
A delayed insurance payout left Phượng short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.
🇻🇳 Hanoi, Hanoi, Vietnam1,284 views
After a car accident that kept me from work for 7 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by February, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $330
• First month of rent as a buffer: $90
• Utilities in arrears: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
