I coordinate donations at the Liberty Mosque in Leicester. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Leicester, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Mosque on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Sending strength, Mason. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.

    • Good luck. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Leicester

      • Thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Leicester.

        • Wishing you peace, Mason. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.

          • Good luck, Mason. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 29 people at work. Greetings from Shubra
