Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Tallahassee
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Tallahassee is running low just as demand rises; $2,250 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 264 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tallahassee market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $700
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $350
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
