Nairobi
Wekesa was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October. The oncology team at Nairobi Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Wekesa is 50, worked as a tailor until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nairobi Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $400 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $145 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120 • Transport to Nairobi Regional Medical Center: $135 With deep gratitude, Lilian
