Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Multan
The the Second Helping pantry in Multan is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 133 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Multan market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $160
