We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 586 neighbors in Semarang. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thank you so much.

  • Sending love, Fajar. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Tema this morning

    • hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.

      • So sorry you're going through this, Fajar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 16 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything

        • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Niterói.

          • sending love, Fajar. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update!
