Surgery fund for Kehinde: valve repair surgery in Gwagwalada
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Kehinde was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In February I was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes. My surgeon at Gwagwalada Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for June. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,100, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $1,250 short.
Doctors at Gwagwalada Orthopedic Institute told me severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without valve repair surgery. I work as a hotel cleaner, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,100 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a hotel cleaner have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
