Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Depok
The the Thursday Table pantry in Depok is running low just as demand rises; $500 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 281 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Depok market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $210
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $180
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
