Weekly meals for families and seniors in Bogotá
Héctor runs a volunteer pantry feeding 100 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 100 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bogotá market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $200 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $100
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
With deep gratitude,
Héctor

Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in San Francisco but we're thinking of you.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Venice
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Héctor.
Rooting for you, Héctor. This could happen to any of us. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Bogotá.
rooting for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Put this on a community board in Depok this morning. All the best.
Keep going, Héctor. Looking forward to the next update. Blessings
Sending strength, Héctor. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours.
Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
best of luck, Héctor. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
Thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Bahir Dar so I could bring a meal. All the best
Sending love, Héctor. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Lahore.
