Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Vadodara
Naveen runs a volunteer pantry feeding 282 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 282 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Vadodara market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $270
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
