We lost everything in the earthquake: help the Hillcrest neighborhood start over
After the earthquake, families in the Hillcrest neighborhood need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The earthquake hit the Hillcrest neighborhood on 6 February. My home was one of 21 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,600
• Clean water and purification supplies: $280
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $770

hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
You're not alone, Hina. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Makati so I could bring a meal.
Thanks for sharing this, Hina. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Pretoria so I could bring a meal. All the best.
take care. More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page. God bless!
