Jadwiga's final semester of an accounting degree in Kraków
A first-generation student, Jadwiga needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Kraków University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,800.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Kraków University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $560

• Exam and lab fees: $105
• Textbooks and materials: $35

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Jadwiga.

You're not alone, Jadwiga. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
