A service dog for Shakil, an engineering corps veteran in Kochi

I served six years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2023 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $650. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $650 goes: • Housing deposit and first month: $210 • Training provider fees: $380 • Essential household items: $60 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
