I coordinate donations at Cedar Women's Shelter in Ankara. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Ankara, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Women's Shelter on Friday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Hang in there, Metin. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Bogotá

    • Wishing you the best, Metin. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Rochester.

      • You're not alone, Metin. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
