A day in the garden: help Ethan in Oakland
Garden rescue day in Oakland: bring gloves and a rake.
🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States621 views
I'm 91 and I have lived in this house in Oakland for 37 years. After the storm in March, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
