Let's build a community fridge together in León
Volunteers in León are raising $650 for a community fridge at the Harmony vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 439 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $330
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $100
• Tools hire and delivery: $180
