Wagner was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Fortaleza Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Wagner is 36, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fortaleza Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,450 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,450 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $150 • Transport to Fortaleza Cancer Centre: $310 • Household costs while unable to work: $540 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Henrique
