I make my living with my taxi. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $550. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $550 goes: • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $310 • Labor charges: $110 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $85 • Towing and inspection: $45 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Andre

Keep going, Andre. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Contagem donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Montego Bay.
