Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Metin in Munich
Metin, a single mother of three, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Munich.

I'm a single mother of three living in Munich. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,700, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

take care. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Dar es Salaam
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Munich
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted. All the best
sending love, Metin. Your post was clear and honest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care!
Keep going. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. We're a small family in Soweto but we're thinking of you.
