Vivian needs valve repair surgery at Raleigh Orthopedic Institute and the family is $6,300 short of the hospital's estimate.

Vivian was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at Raleigh Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,300 short.
my mother has been in and out of Raleigh Orthopedic Institute since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Vivian struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Vivian won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
