Veteran in need: Sita's next mission is stability
An army veteran in New Delhi needs help with a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment after leaving service with chronic tinnitus.

I served eight years in the army and was discharged in 2025 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $950.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $950 goes:
• Training provider fees: $460
• Housing deposit and first month: $370
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $65
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Portland.
praying for you, Sita. Looking forward to the next update. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of New Delhi.
Hang in there, Sita. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
