The Cedar vacant lot needs a community fridge - Sneha's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Prayagraj are raising $600 for a community fridge at the Cedar vacant lot.
🇮🇳 Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India698 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 594 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
