Unity Park needs a youth football pitch - Sergio's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 444 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Permits and inspections: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $160 • Safety equipment and signage: $85 If you're reading this, thank you. - Sergio
