Sônia was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in September. The surgeon at Londrina Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,400, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,050 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Londrina Community Hospital since September. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sônia struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
