I'm a night-shift nurse living in London. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,850, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Ezra. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Take care.

      • So sorry you're going through this. Shared it with a few friends. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Laredo.

        • Hope things get better soon. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
