Deepak can't leave home - help build a ramp

Help Deepak regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Deepak has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Deepak can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Deepak's family will cook lunch for the team. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Stay strong, Akash. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Heliopolis so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
