Njoroge is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Kinondoni University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has said Njoroge can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Njoroge has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Njoroge would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Njoroge isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Kinondoni University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $260
• Final term tuition: $195
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Textbooks and materials: $60
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Njoroge!
Sure. The biggest one is outstanding tuition balance, $260. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
Hope things get better soon, Irene. Study hard! Blessings
