Tuition fund for Amber: an accounting degree at Sacramento Community College
A first-generation student, Amber needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.
🇺🇸 United States247 views
Amber is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at Sacramento Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,900.
The registrar has said Amber can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Amber has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Amber would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Amber isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $220
• Final term tuition: $1,350
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,330
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending strength, Douglas. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Sacramento.
so sorry you're going through this. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Wishing you the best, Douglas. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care!
Thinking of you and your family, Douglas. This could happen to any of us. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too
