The Rahimi family fled Eritrea - help them rebuild in Hawassa
Help a family of 4 start their new life in Hawassa: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Eritrea 11 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Hawassa. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a pharmacist in Eritrea, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by a local church-run settlement group, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $600 goes:
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $195
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $60
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $30
• Rent deposit and first month: $315

how is Dawit doing now?
Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Richards Bay but we're thinking of you.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dawit.
sending good thoughts. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 6 people at work.
stay strong. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
stay strong, Dawit. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.

Thinking of you, Dawit. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Warangal so I could bring a meal. All the best
