The Unity community hall needs a covered market stall space - Nadeesha's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 352 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 • Materials: $265 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
