The old Lotus bus depot needs a community fridge - Rashid's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 237 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Permits and inspections: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $130 • Safety equipment and signage: $75 Thanks for being kind about this. - Rashid
