Cedar Park needs a free library and reading room - Farhan's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 132 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $400 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Materials: $330 • Permits and inspections: $30 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
