36 volunteers for the Refugee Welcome Picnic in San Fernando
We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?
🇵🇭 Pampanga, Philippines1,188 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 367 neighbors in San Fernando. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending strength, Camille. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
You're not alone. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Guadalajara this morning
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't give up!
