Don't let Saad's family go through the cold months without electricity

Saad is behind on electricity bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $100 goes: • Utility arrears: $40 • Reconnection and late fees: $20 • Down payment on a payment plan: $40 Every share and every dollar helps. - Saad
