A first-generation student, Deepa needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in social work.

Deepa is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at the Howrah Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Deepa can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Deepa has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Deepa would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Deepa isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $400 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $20
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Final term tuition: $335
Every share and every dollar helps.
