Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Sneha's family in Muzaffarpur
The closure of the factory left Sneha short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

When the construction firm closed in May, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by August, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $360
• Late fees and court costs: $40
• Utilities in arrears: $45
• First month of rent as a buffer: $155
With deep gratitude,
Sneha

Good news. Because of your gifts ($121 in total) the plan for late fees and court costs is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Thank you all. We're at 13% now ($75). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for utilities in arrears is now scheduled.

Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Aurangabad.
