Guilherme was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in April. The surgeon at Brasília Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,700 short.
my husband has been in and out of Brasília Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Guilherme struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Guilherme won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.

Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $1,200. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
