Patras
My family left Syria 11 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Patras. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in October. I was a nurse in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. Funds are managed by the Patras Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf. Where the $1,400 goes: • Winter clothing and school supplies: $250 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $65 • Rent deposit and first month: $1,085 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Updates from Angeliki

  1. Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($25). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward phone and internet for school and job search.
