After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Arturo was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Arturo was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Tuxtla Gutiérrez Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,550, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,800 short. my father has been in and out of Tuxtla Gutiérrez Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,550 is more than we can find. While we wait, Arturo struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Arturo won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,800 goes: • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $175 • Post-operative medication: $125 • Physiotherapy sessions: $160 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $670 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $670 With deep gratitude, Renata
