Could you share an hour a week with Hadley?

Hadley lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Hadley, who's 75. Hadley lives alone in Lafayette, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 371 kilometers away. Hadley loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I hope life is good to you.
