For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,050. It will serve about 252 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,050 goes: • Materials: $1,900 • Permits and inspections: $230 • Safety equipment and signage: $380 • Tools hire and delivery: $540 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Asher
