Isabel lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Taguig Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,400.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Isabel could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $1,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $40
