Kampala
My family left Yemen 12 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Kampala. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November. I was an engineer in Yemen, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. Funds are managed by the Kampala Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf. Where the $450 goes: • Language classes and bus passes: $70 • Rent deposit and first month: $280 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $20 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $80 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. language classes and bus passes comes first ($70) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
